Recipe Instructions

This is a basic baking mix – you can use it for a lot of things. Combine all the ingredients. If you want to save it for later, add a bit of milk pow. But you can also wait, and then use hydrated milk pow to add to the mix when you are ready. Use the milk pow to get a specific texture – thin for pancakes, thick for doughboys, etc… You can add orange slices, bananas, raisins, or similar and fry like pancakes. Bannock is a gaelic term. You can make this and use it for all sorts of instant breads! This one is heavier on the butter – feel free to use less.

Use Bob’s Bannock Mix. Gradually add water until you can shape it, and knead it well. Pinch off the desired amounts and place them in a greased fry pan. Bake for about 20 minutes, with heat sources from all around. If baking is hard, you can start by frying and then cook it on low heat. Cheese, nuts, spices, and similar all add to the biscuit experience.
