Purchasing details (Ingredient Info)

Purchasing details help whoever does the shopping buy exactly the right thing. They can be included as columns in your shopping-list exports.

1. Click Manage → Ingredient Info.
2. Fill in any of:
   • Preferred brand
   • Item URL: a link to the product in your store's online shop. Must start with http:// or https://.
   • Item ID / number: your supplier's product code.
   • Aisle
3. Optional: a Purchase unit conversion, for things you serve in one unit but buy in another. For example, serve rice by the cup but buy it by the pound: 1 cup = 0.4 lb. The conversion lets Wholesum show purchasing quantities and cost the ingredient correctly.
4. Click Save.

Purchasing details for an ingredient

To show these details on your shopping lists, tick the columns you want in Settings → Export settings. See Export settings (columns, sorting and PDF layout).

Ingredient tags

Some accounts can also tag ingredients from the Manage menu, and then filter exports by ingredient tag. If you'd like this turned on for your account, contact us.
