Recipe Instructions

Bring large pot of water to boil, add oil and salt.

There are MANY ways to make this meal simpler or more complex depending on if you are camping and how much time you have. READ THE WHOLE RECIPE and decide how you want to proceed before you start.

Chop Broccoli. Feel free to use stems.

Once water is boiling add macaroni noodles, reducing heat as necessary.

Cook chicken in skillet until golden, if you do not have vegetarians add chopped broccoli. Add butter or oil as needed until broccoli is a bit tender.

*If you would like to minimize dishes, you can add broccoli to pasta water when the noodles are almost done. After draining pasta & broccoli, add chicken with cheese sauce.*

*Drain the slightly undercooked noodles and return to large pot. Add cheese powder, shredded cheese, milk, and butter. (some water if needed) Place on low heat and stir until cheese is fully incorporated.*

IF you have the space/time/dishes, make the cheese sauce separately then mix in with fully cooked pasta. This prevents clumping/sticking/overcooked noodles but DOES make more dishes.

If making sauce separately, heat butter, milk, and cheese powder (may need some water also) in a sauce pan until combined and thickening. Pour over drained noodles and stir to combine.

Add broccoli and chicken sausage to mac n’ cheese to make it MIGHTY!
