Combine pancake mix, granulated sugar, and brown sugar separately
Add water to the pancake mixture, mix
Pour pineapple, with water, into cook pot and place over low heat, simmering for 10 minutes.
Sprinkle brown sugar over pineapple in the pot, but do not stir.
Put dough over the brown sugar and pineapple. Dough will be gooey and will naturally spread over pineapple.
Cover pot and steam on low heat for about 10 minutes, being careful not to burn the cake. Serve once an inserted knife comes out clean.
