Meal plans without specific dates (Day Numbers)

Not every meal plan is tied to a calendar. A "5-day canoe trip" template, or a menu you run every session, works better as Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 than as real dates.

Switch a plan to day numbers

  1. Create or edit a meal plan.
  2. Under Choose your days, on the right of the calendar, choose Day Numbers.
  3. Enter the number of days.
  4. Add recipes to each day's meals as usual, then save.

To tie the plan to real dates later, switch back to Specific Dates and choose a start date and end date.

On the Meal plans page, the Any dates filter has a No dates option that lists just these plans.

Rename "Day"

You can change the word "Day" to something that fits how your trips run, such as "Camp" or "Trip day", and choose whether numbering starts at 0 or 1. Go to Settings → Day labels & numbering → Edit. See Customizing “Day” labels.

Reusing a template

Clone a day-numbered plan to reuse it for each new group. See Locking, cloning, deleting and restoring meal plans.
