Cauliflower Steaks

Cauliflower (whole)

Olive Oil

garlic cloves

Agave Syrup

Red pepper flakes

Recipe Instructions

1. Remove outer leaves and cut off the bottom of the stem so that you create a flat base and can stand the cauliflower up on the cutting board. Resting the cauliflower on the stem, use large, sharp knife to trim away the sides. Cut the remaining head into 3 "steaks" Reserve the sides for another use, saute, etc... In small bowl stir together the olive oil, lemon zest and lemon juice, garlic and honey.
2. Heat griddle, brush one side of each cauliflower steak with them lemon & Olive oil mixture and then sprinkle the brush sides with salt. Place salted side down on the hot griddle, then brush the tops of the steaks with olive oil mixture and season the remaining salt. Cover and cook for 5-6 minutes until the bottom is beginning to char. Flip and cook until cauliflower is tender. Sprinkle with pepper flakes & parsley, serve w/ lemon wedge.
