Beans, Refried; Cheese Pow, Rice: Backcountry (JY)

Fritos or Tortilla Chips

Spice, Taco Seasoning

Spice, Red Pepper Flakes

Beans, instant refried (dry)
0.25 cup(s)

Recipe Instructions

Note:
- At home, weigh then package instant refried beans, taco seasoning, cheese powder, and Minute rice together in ziplock.
- Have Fritos or Tortilla chips in separate bag or ziplock.
- Have red pepper flakes, if desired, in spice kit.

Instructions:
1. Boil water, add rice and beans, cheese powder, and taco seasoning mixture to boiling water slowly (if desired- Add pinch of red pepper flakes- not too much, red pepper flakes get hotter over time in the mixture.)
2. Boil gently one minute, stirring well.
3. Remove from stove and let set with lid on for at least 5 minutes.
4. When cool enough to eat, add Fritos or slightly crushed Tortilla chips to each person's bowl (do not do this too early or they will get soggy).
