Instructions:
Put hash browns (and dehydrated diced onions, if using) in pot or ziplock, cover with cool water overnight (best method); or cover with boiling water (water 1" higher than top of hash browns), set off to side, insulated, in a pot for 15 min. in morning. With either method, pour off excess water after hash browns have rehydrated. Melt butter or margarine in fry pan, add hash browns, fry until light brown & crispy, add shredded or diced cheese and let cheese melt. Season w/ spices.
