Buy any soup mix (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, chicken, beef, etc.) that says it contains "4 servings" on the nutritional info. You will use "4 servings" to feed 2 people on a backpack trip. So, for 12 people, you would buy 6 packets of dry soup mix "containing 4 servings each". Once soup is cooked, add potato flakes slowly until soup is the consistency of a stew. Add cheese (or oil & TVP, for dairy free or vegan)
