5 New Features Ready to Streamline Your Menu Planning!

✨ A redesigned PDF export

A completely new look for your meal plan PDFs: bigger, easier-to-read text, print-friendly recipe cards, clear day headers, a two-column recipe layout, and a restyled calendar in the brand colours.

How to use it: It's opt-in, so nothing changed unless you turn it on. Open Export settings and switch on New PDF design. While you're in there, you can also set your recipe layout, font size and page-break behaviour. Don't love it? Toggle it back off and you're on the classic PDF again — no settings lost.

↕️ Resize your meal planning grid

The drag-and-drop planner was locked at about four or five visible day rows, which made planning a two-week trip an exercise in scrolling.

How to use it: On the meal plan edit page, grab the grip bar underneath the grid and drag it taller or shorter. Or click Fit to days and it sizes itself to show every day in your plan at once. Your chosen height is remembered, so it'll be the same next time you come back.

📕 Download your whole cookbook

Every recipe on your account, exported as a single PDF. You get a cover page with your account name, recipe count and export date, then one recipe per page — categories, tags, dietary restrictions, ingredients (with substitutes nested underneath), and full instructions. Quantities print exactly as you entered them, nothing scaled or converted.

How to use it: Go to Settings and find the Download your cookbook section. It'll tell you how many recipes are included — click Download PDF and it saves straight to your computer. Great for a printed binder in the kitchen, a backup of your library, or handing a client something physical.

📝 Export a meal plan to Word

You could already export to PDF and Excel. Now there's a third option: an editable .docx file you can open in Word or Google Docs and change before you send it.

How to use it: Open any meal plan and click Download WORD, right next to the PDF and XLSX buttons. It uses the same export settings as your PDF — same columns, same layout, same sorting — so the two always match. Handy if you need to add a note for a client, tweak wording for a trip leader, or drop your plan into a bigger document.

🏷️ Tag manager

If you've ended up with gluten free, gluten-free, and GF all floating around your recipe filter, this is for you. You can now see every tag you use, along with how many recipes carry it.

How to use it: Settings → Recipe tags → Manage tags. From there you can:

  • Rename a tag and it updates on every recipe at once
  • Merge duplicates using the "Merge into…" dropdown — you'll get a confirmation showing exactly what's about to happen
  • Delete a tag you don't use (your recipes aren't touched, just the tag)
  • Expand a tag to see its recipes, remove ones that don't belong, or search for ones to add

Worth ten minutes if your tag list has gotten messy.
