1. PURCHASING UNIT CONVERSION

One of the challenges familiar to everyone who shops for groups is the conversion to purchasing units. For example:

  • How many cups of rice are in a pound?
  • How many tablespoons of olive oil are in one bottle?

With purchasing unit conversion in Wholesum, you can now define these conversions for each ingredient. Your shopping list will now display both the quantity you use in your recipes and the purchasing quantity. Check out the video below to see it in action.

2. INGREDIENT INFO PANEL

Track Ingredient Details For:

  • Brand: Keep track of the brand of your ingredients.
  • URL: If you order ingredients online, you can now track the URL of each ingredient, which will be linked in the spreadsheet or PDF export.
  • Item ID: Track the specific product or item SKU or number so that you can clearly relay that information to your vendor.
  • Aisle: If you shop in person at a grocery store, sorting the shopping list by aisle number can make shopping a breeze.

3. SECONDARY SORTING

Previously, shopping lists could only be sorted by one variable (e.g., sort by store). Now, you can define the second "sort by" option. With the addition of the information panel, you have a lot more options. For example, you could sort by store first and aisle second to streamline your menu planning, or sort by store first and item number second.
 

Remember, you can always export to Excel to get even more advanced in how you sort and filter your lists!
