Recipe Instructions

Cook and drain pasta. Boil 12 cups water and stir into potato flakes until creamy. Add butter, salt, and pepper. Dice and sauté onions until softened. Mix in bacon bits. Serve pasta topped with mashed potatoes, the onion-bacon mixture, and grated or sliced cheese. Note: Use Cheddar Cheese Powder as the substitute for trips longer than 4 days or in hot weather.
