Bring water to a full boil in a large pot. Remove from heat. Add ground coffee directly to the pot — about 1 tablespoon per cup. Stir once and let steep 4 minutes. The grounds will settle to the bottom. Pour gently into mugs, leaving the last inch in the pot. Serve with sugar and creamer. Alternative: use a camp percolator or pour-over with a bandana as a filter.
