Mix flour, salt, and baking powder. Add butter and enough cold water to form a stiff dough. Divide into 12 pieces. Find or whittle a clean green stick. Wrap each dough piece in a spiral around the end of a stick. Hold over fire coals rotating slowly 5–8 minutes until golden and cooked through. Slide off stick and fill the hollow with jam. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if desired.
