RECOMMENDED: Soak oats in 18 cups cold water the night before — reduces morning cook time to 15–20 minutes. Day-of method: bring milk powder and 18 cups water to a boil, add oats, simmer 1 hour stirring frequently. Either way, stir in fruit, cinnamon, and brown sugar in the last 15 minutes. Top with seeds. Ratio: 1 cup oats to 3 cups water.
