BEFORE TRIP: The night before each serving day, combine chia seeds with 9 cups water plus milk powder. Add maple syrup and stir well. Seal in a container and let sit overnight. Best prepared during cool weather or stored in a cooler — in hot summer conditions this is a Day 1–2 recipe. ON THE WATER: Stir well to break up clumps. Scoop into bowls, top with dried berries and a drizzle of honey.
