PRE-TRIP PREP (MAKE AHEAD): Season chicken with garlic powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, and salt; marinate in ½ the BBQ sauce for at least 2 hours. Freeze marinated chicken in vacuum-sealed bags.
ON THE RIVER: Thaw chicken in cooler day before use. Cook rice per package directions. Grill or pan-sear chicken in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, 7–8 minutes per side, basting with remaining BBQ sauce. Internal temperature should reach 165°F. Rest 5 minutes. Heat green beans in a pot with butter. Serve chicken over wild rice with green beans.
