PRE-TRIP PREP: Portion cream of wheat and dried fruit into labeled zip-lock bags.
ON THE RIVER: Bring 6 cups water to a boil. Gradually whisk in cream of wheat; cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in milk, brown sugar, and dried fruit. Set out bagel station: slice bagels, place cream cheese, peanut butter, and jelly in accessible containers. Let guests serve themselves from both the hot cereal and the bagel spread.
